This month marked Design Week in Milan, shedding light on some of the most incredible innovations in design and architecture. MINI LIVING finds the future in small spaces, intertwining the smallest footprint with practical and attractive living spaces. They have created a space that is both functional, urban and eco-friendly by working alongside SO – IL, an award-winning, New York based architecture company. SO – IL presented the concept space ‘Breathe’ for MINI LIVING at the Salone del Mobile. The spot has very limited room, stretches over three floors, and has been transformed into a sustainable and livable space that connects the inhabitant with their surroundings. “We all dream of a home, a place we can escape to, a place to entertain – the perfect design that brings people together while providing a haven from the world.” – MINI. With innovative elements such as self-cleaning, breathable outer fabric instead of walls, and a lush rooftop garden, SO – IL and MINI have combined the comfort of a home and the organics of nature into one.
